Info

This 52 week project has been a long time coming. After postponing an attempt year after year, I finally sat down during the first week of January 2020 and got started. This was before social distancing and quarantine life. Each track is purely instrumental, and most don't even have a drum beat (some don't have any beat). I've been inspired over the years by Brian Eno, William Basinski, Clint Mansell, Cliff Martinez, Jon Brion, and others. Clearly I have a thing for soundtracks.

All of my other music is available on Spotify (among other places) but this entire album is available on Github with a Creative Commons sharealike license, which means that you can use these in your projects (commercial even) by crediting me. Each Wednesday I post a new song.

Some notes: at week 18 my laptop (only 5 months old) completely died and I had to send it to Apple for repairs. A new logic board/touch bar meant that I lost everything on my drive. So in week 19 I made two songs, the first (track 19) in Garageband on my wife's 6 year old laptop. The second (track 18) was made when I got my computer back. Other than that this has occurred regularly and with pleasure.

Some of my favorites from this collection are #s: 02, 13, 14, 18, 21, 23, and 28.

That's it, enjoy, share what you make (I'm on Twitter).
